How should I read a route quote?
A route quote describes what one provider estimated for one pair, one input size, and one moment. It is not a fill and not an offer. Opening or reviewing a quote does not place an order.
The input and output belong to different assets. Base units are the smallest units used by the asset; decimals explain how they relate to the familiar amount. Without known decimals, a human-readable amount cannot safely be guessed.
Minimum output is a bound for a proposed swap, not a promise that it will happen. Slippage is a tolerance, not a fee. Costs already included in quoted output must not be subtracted again.
For example, reopening a quote later still shows the earlier estimate. The market may have changed in between. Check its recorded time and cost notes instead of treating it as a current price.
Can you name the input size and recorded time, and explain why the output is still an estimate?
Saved quotes do not prove execution, current availability, portfolio value, or a profitable route.
